Ten terrorists attacked in Mumbai India on November 26, 2008. Sandeep rescued the hostages on the 5th and 6th floors of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. He risked his life to save Commando Sunil Kumar Yadave. Sandeep was shot by one of the terrorists and his left arm was injured. Due to several wounds and bleeding, Sandeep Unnikrishnan died during the fight with terrorists. His body was found in a blood pool in the hotel on the very next day.
